My little girl is 3 days old, so I know it is still early, but I really want to get BFing right this time as my first was a challenge. I've been following all the latching advice, watching videos etc and the midwives say it looks fine, but my nipples are so sore and cracked already and it really hurts when she first...
My EBF baby used to go crazy angry whenever she saw a bottle. I’ve got a new bottle and I play with her and squeeze small amounts of milk into her mouth. She plays with it but doesn’t suck. Today she sucked a small amount after 20 minutes of play with the bottle. Total consumption was 30ml/ 1 ounce. Does anyone els...
My 6 1/2 month old is exclusively breast fed, so I was curious how often everyone else’s baby goes in between feeds. Mine is around 2-3 hours, I don’t know if that’s to often though. (In the beginning we did have lots of trouble with feeding until about 3 months in, now it is a lot better)
I’ve tried everything 😭 different sizes but because they have been so sore from trying to breastfeed and basically having maximum 4 hours break between pumping, they aren’t able to heal before having to pump again? Any solutions. The first 5 mins of pumping is painful. After that it’s bearable for the next 10…
Hello! First time mum and worrier here! My little girl is 2 and a half weeks old and is exclusively breastfed. She is very settled in the day between feeds but at night from about 10/12pm she will be very unsettled, I try feeding her and she either doesn’t want to latch or will latch for a few minutes then let go a...
LO 13 weeks, ebf. All of a sudden today I tried to feed him like normal and he kept screaming everytime my boob went near him?! I cleaned it thinking it might have deodrant or something on it by accident....but still screaming. Anyone else??
I am 13 weeks postpartum and can’t snap out of this attitude, and it’s driving my husband nuts he says. I feel annoyed about breastfeeding/pumping and having zero life right now. I can’t really have much fun at all, and when I leave the house I have a time limit of when I need to come back to pump. So it’s all rushe...
Hey just curious to see who uses follow on milk? I've bought some today as they always seem to have offers on eith them , so got 2 boxes for the price of 1 , I never bothered with my 1st born he stayed om 1st stage but money was never a worry when we had him, times are abit harder now and breast feeding didn't go as...
Breastfeeding and pumping — when to start pumping and how to start that right away? Right now exclusively breastfeeding on the crying cue.. need advice. I have all my pumping supplies two of them both portable
Morning all 😁 Currently after the best black Friday deals. We already have the following - next to me crib - basinet for downstairs - nursery furniture - travel system I've noticed that momcozy have great deals on breast pumps, however was wondering what breast pumps everyone else is going for? Any…
I’ve been exclusively breastfeeding my 3 month old and am wondering how long is a normal feed at this age? Each session lasts between 20-45 mins, I just go by how he feels. How often are you feeding your babies? Mine feeds every 2-3 hrs at the moment. Do the gaps start to increase and how will I know? I’m literally ...
I now wear a vest top to minimise the nip. I don’t care about the ‘embarrassment’ side of things (right now anyway!) but, 1) is this dangerous? 2) am I increasing how saggy my tatas will be later down the line?
Day 2 old baby and breastfeeding. He is already cluster feeding. Helppp. He cries then is fussy and did this for an hour nonstop until I put him on my breast for feeding and he stops. I’m going crazy and just started! Any tips? Will it last long? I do plan to pump soon
I had a house fire this week, and my breast pump (calypso double plus) was in the same room as the fire inside a fabric footstool. There is black residue all over all our furniture, belongings and the ceiling and walls are black. Do you think I need to replace the breast pump? I'm wondering how it could have been a...
How long should you feed your baby for 2-3 hours for?
Does anyone else hold in the weight while breastfeeding? I've been working out almost every day and going on long daily walks, and I eat pretty healthy and drink lots of water. But I've only lost about 15 pounds since giving birth (I'm 10 and a half months postpartum). I still have 30 pounds to go but it's not going...
Over the past week or so, my 5 week old has been breastfeeding for an hour and sometimes more per session! She takes around 2.5-3 ounces per feeding - my lactation consultant has me weighing her before and after each feed. Is this a normal length of time per feeding session? Would love to have my boobs back for a b...
My little one is 4 days old now. Since 10pm she's been at my breast constantly. She'll feed for around 10 minutes on each side, then fall asleep, then wake up 5 minutes later and go again. The only break I've had from feeding her has been to change her nappy and even then she's rooting and sucking her fists and g...
Anyone else get their period back already? I’m 10 weeks pp and got my period back but it’s very different than before I’m more spotting than anything. I’m also breastfeeding so I don’t know if that’s affecting anything.
Does anyone have advice on how to deal with leaking boobs overnight? I don’t like wearing a bra and the pads for leaking don’t stick to my pajamas or catch the milk. I usually breast feed at night and use my haaka on the opposite boob. I still leak after that. I hate the feeling of my pajamas being wet.
