Waking each other up??

Does anyone have a newborn and their 1 year old sleep in the same room on a night? I only live in a 2 bed currently and our 1 year old is still in with us as our older child is too old to share IMO as he’s hitting teenage years. Just wondering if one wakes does it usually wake the other or do they settle and carry...

Fears and emotions

Guys, I'm at an all time loss and I'm super anxious. My little girl for context is 20 months old and all of a sudden has started developing fears and becoming super sensitive. These things are everyday things that haven't changed for instance the bath plug, now she's started getting super emotional and hysterical in...

Will a therapist always be biased to keeping a father around the child even though he is a deadbeat/inconsistent?

I notice regardless the dysfunction and inconsistency so far my therapist has never said to keep the father away. She agrees that he should still be able to see the baby if he does decide to come around…but she also did say she’s going to have to read or take training on narcissists. She says either way the child wi...

Feeling guilty for not breastfeeding

I’m 5 months postpartum, and I struggled with my milk supply. My baby was crying for food, so I turned to formula and used Aptamil Advanced. Now, I’m seeing so much information about formula not being ideal, and I can’t help but feel guilty, wondering if I’ve done the right thing for my little one. A post in particu...

The Dummy Dilemma

Our son is almost 4months now and has always been a big fan of his dummy. I liked having it because I think he associates it with sleep/relaxing so it made it easy to get him down for his nap, evening sleep, or even just some quiet/relaxing time for when we’re trying to get through that last wake window into bedtime...

Help! Inconsistent Feeding

I have weaned my 5 month old onto formula over the past month (he was exclusively breastfed) and I’m really struggling to get him to feed regular & set amounts. He is allover the place. It’s every 2-4 hours and honestly varies from 2oz to 6oz and you can imagine how much formula this is wasting! He still wakes i...

Advice on flying with pram and car seat

Hello! First time mum here and i'm a little nervous to be flying with my 3 month old in April. I’ll be flying with my baby on my lap but need to bring a pram and car seat. How does checking the car seat work - do I check it in at the counter or take it to the gate? Also, is it better to bring a pram with a carrycot ...

Struggling

Is anyone else struggling more now than in the newborn days? Maybe I’m looking back at the newborn days with rose tinted glasses, but my god does this age feel hard! My little girl is at a stage where she is getting very frustrated, she clearly knows what she wants but can’t communicate it, and I can’t understand s...

Hit 8months & stopped sleeping

Anyone else? Hit 8 months and now hates napping, wakes too easy. 2 naps a day if lucky. Atleast 3 night wakings sometimes more now, and then awake before sunrise. Was a good sleeper before 8 months 😔 tired

baby sleep theory

i’m not saying this in true or false but it something i was told by a sleep expert. just wanted peoples thoughts or opinions... babies who wake up often become more independent sleeping babies as they get older. babies who have slept through the night since was younger in their bassinet become worse sleepers when ...

Is this normal behaviour?

Don’t want this to sound dramatic at all😂 my son likes to play rough which is fine!! He’s a proper boys boy. But I already have certain suspicions. He’s fairly behind on his speech, he has a really short attention span and if he doesn’t get something the first time trying it he starts throwing his toys across the…

Food over milk?!

My boy is 7 months at the beginning of march and these last few days he’s been hardly drinking his milk other than 9oz at bedtime but he’s been having food absolutely fine? I am offering milk as normal and the only reason I’ve given more food is incase he is actually hungry but doesn’t want milk… turns out he’s just...
