Regret dummy/pacifier use?

Has anyone introduced a dummy just for specific situations like if you’re at an appointment or somewhere where it’s supposed to be quiet and you really need your baby to be soothed? (Not for sleep purposes) What’s it like? Do they grow more dependent on it? Do you regret introducing a dummy?

Duvet or sleeping bag?

Those with a duvet, does your little one sleep better in it than a sleeping bag? I need to buy the next size up sleeping bag but I’m wondering if she’ll prefer a duvet now. The only thing that puts me off is she’s a wiggly worm at night and is constantly moving all over the bed. She sleeps in a double floor bed for ...

Sleep and tantrums help!

Is anyone else really struggling with their 19 month old and sleep at the minute? She completely self settles and doesn’t need any help getting to sleep. However, currently she is like having a newborn again. She wakes up in the middle of the night with a scream she has never done before until the last week, it’s t...

Mine takes like 30mins to fall asleep or some days he won’t at all and bedtime takes him like an hour to fall asleep but on the days he’s refused him nap he always falls asleep within 10 minutes and sleeps all night....

Bottles

Hello mommas So last Friday we had a pediatrician appointment and he told me he doesn’t want me giving a bottle right before bed. My baby always had a bottle right before bed and, honestly she only drinks milk before bed and middle of the night, during the day she prefers water. Seems a bit drastic to cut the bottl...

Outgrowing bassinet

I thought I had more time. Baby boy sleeps in the bassinet next to our bed. He’s gotten so long, I don’t think we can keep him in the bassinet much longer. Putting him in the crib means he’s no longer in our room. I’m so not ready. He’s just 8 weeks old.

He was having two 20 minute naps a day 🫠 Dropped him to 1 nap in the hope of his naps extending but that has not happened. His sleep has just got worse and worst. What time does your baby go down for the night?

Interested to hear other people’s routine… my 4.5 month old baby can go down anywhere between 8-10 still but seeing some babies go down as early as 5.30 👀 It all depends on his last nap/wake window. He sleeps till 8.30/10 in the morning so he’s getting enough sleep and tbh I’m happy for this to continue as I’m more…

Contraceptive implant

Hi I am considering the contraceptive implant and have a few questions which I’m struggling to find answers online or through doctor (I have asked and they said no evidence) So, currently 5 month pp and exclusively breastfeeding, period has not yet returned. Wondering if anyone can offer insight on the following:...

8 week vaccines

We’ve had the dreaded 8 weeks vaccines this morning and I just wanted to know other people’s experiences. It’s been 3 hours and the calpol has kept his temp normal, he’s fine on his food and I’ve just changed a nice wet nappy. He’s just a bit more sleepy than usual right now. Is he likely over the worst or did it hi...

Not taking bottle at nursery

My baby is exclusively breastfed but has taken an expressed bottle from my husband since he was 6 weeks old and from grandparents when left with them for a few hours so he is used to having a bottle. He just had his third settling in session at nursery and has refused his bottle (same last session, he took 4 oz on t...

Dummy and Sleep

We introduced our little boy to a dummy when he was a couple of weeks old to help settle him after feeds as he has reflux. He was using the dummy at night but it was never an issue if it came out at night. He is now 4 months old and wakes up nearly every hour throughout the night crying until either my partner or I...

Defeated 🫠

I have read and heard everywhere that breastfeeding is unique, it should not hurt, it is enjoyable and I just wait for the moment when that happens to me, my baby gets very desperate when he takes it straight from the breast, it hurts me and I feel like she is not satisfied, I feel defeated
