I’ve thought about it, because I am petrified of natural labor. But at the end of the day, I think I’m going to go natural. But I’ve already decided if they push induction for any reason, I am going to request a c-section instead.

After an emergency c-section after hours of labor and then distress with my son, I want to eliminate the variables and am planning a csection with my daughter in June.

Not planned but my emergency c section was the best labour/birth ever. Literally no stress and recovered amazingly x good luck x

@Kelsey oh 🥺 , my bestie went through the same process and she said the same, did they give you a day for the c section ?

@salma I had been admitted and induced the night before and was laboring; baby was in distress with cord between me and him and every contraction was cutting off his blood supply, so we went straight to the OR.

I’ve had 4 and if I was allowed to pick I would push the baby out. I had too many infection and scar busting open. Get the epidural you won’t feel the baby coming out your vagina. Only thing to worry about is breathing

I had a natural first birth - very traumatic ended up with assisted ventouse delivery and episiotomy. Opted for an elective for my second and the births were worlds apart, recovered much quicker and the whole birth was so calm! I would definitely elect for section if we have any more children. I know it’s not the same for everyone and some people recover better from natural, but for me the elective was amazing and I’m so glad I picked it, I loved it and it healed my birth trauma xx

Yes I’ve planned a c section. No issues with pregnancy just had a lot of anxiety over birth & decided this is best option for me. Have you been given a date yet @salma ? X

@Andrea me too I’m having anxiety about the natural birth , and anxiety about tearing , no I haven’t decide yet , do I have to complete 40 weeks ? Did they give you a date ?

Im going for c-section for several personal and health reasons that don’t really go down as emergency. 👌🏼

@Mady hi mady I’m scared of natural I gave anxiety , did they give you a date ? I’m due 4th of June but with c section I don’t know when it will be

@salma they book you usually for your 39th week. I was booked in at 39+1. My hospital did electives on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. I got my date when I went to my 36 week appt, x

@Daria Thankyou so much daria 🤍🤍🤍 I’m so scared of giving birth naturally and people been giving me nightmares about c section

@salma Hi Salma, that is very good reason for you to go thru with c-section. Im getting my date next week but they said they usually book between 38-40weeks depending on every individual case :)

@salma they havnt given me an exact date but I’ve been told it will be around the 39 week mark. They said I’ll get a letter through in the next couple of weeks with my exact date and time slot. It’s scary but it’s best to always go with your gut and do what’s right for you & baby ❤️

@Tayla✨ anxiety? Stress? Lack of sleep because of anxiety and scared of the unknown pain

@Tayla✨ maybe just don’t comment if there is just gonna be judgment from you?! Vaginal delivery is not better for every person, great if it works/worked for you but don’t you dare judge someone else for wanting/needing another way that is no way “easy way out” or saying that they just need more education on the subject. Be better 🫶🏼

@Tayla✨ It most definitely is NOT better for any person, thats is so so wrong. So many get rushed to have emergency C-sections or have interventions that leave females from Vaginal deliverys even worse than if they would go for c-sections from the start, please don’t be so closed minded just because you did it or your friend did it and it ended being good experience. 🫶🏼 I for example know loads of females left with bowel problems, vaginal problems, back problems or life and death situations etc that they didn’t have a choice but to end up in emergency c-sections or health problems after delivery so you coming and saying its better for everyone is just so wrong.

@Mady thank you so much mady for saying what I wanted to say , not everyone is the same

I super endorse everything @Mady said. Like many other things in life, there is no one size fits all. Even in 2024 there are significant risks involved in child birth for both mama and baby. It's ignorant and unnecessary to speak out of pocket with blatant generalizations. Mind your own biscuits @Tayla✨ .

@salma don’t listen to trolls like Tayla honestly it’s not even worth your time. Don’t let it stress you out ❤️

@Tayla✨There are papers and proof to say that elective C sections are actually the safest way to deliver your baby 🥰

Yes I’ve chosen elective section because of anxiety and I for one, have done ALOT of research and spoken to numerous women about their experiences and hearing soooo many good stories, it certainly helped me make my mind up 🫶🏼. If you feel it’s right for you, it probably is. The second I decided, it took a huge weight off my shoulders!

@Tayla✨ if you'd read my prior comment to OP, you'd see my baby almost died during labor and was brought into this world with an emergency c-section. I know first hand what those risks are, thank you very much. All the same, I choose not to make blanket, general statements as it is not one-size-fits-all. My second child is a planned c-section, scheduled in June. I don't need your approval or consideration - you don't get to gatekeep the medical decisions of others. Have the day you deserve.

I had an emergency with my first and have decided to have a planned for this baby. I am 35 + 2 today and my OB scheduled my C-section last week for the 29th may when I will be exactly 39 weeks

I’m in for an elective at 39 weeks + 3 🫶🏻 got my date at around 35 weeks xx

Can’t remember what country might be Canada, but they don’t allow anyone a vaginal birth, and if you want one you are seem as a bit ‘weird’. They says c sections are safest and stress free birth you can have. Don’t listen to anyone who thinks they know it all because they’ve Google a couple of things. You do what’s best for you and your baby. A healthy mum and baby is more important than telling someone how you delivered your baby. I had an emergency c section and if I’m lucky enough to get pregnant again, I’d choose a c section. Why would I put the stress on me and the baby for a vaginal birth. Either way, it’s magical and you enjoy every second whatever you decide. Stay clear from narrow minded people. X
