I just need sleep

It doesn’t matter if you have researched the best techniques to calmly handle a tantrum or a meltdown, or if you technically know the best methods to gently soothe your teething poorly baby, or if you have watched every episode of super nanny and follow all the behaviour gurus on instagram… if you are chronically sleep deprived to the point of dizziness and your support system have let you down repeatedly… you’re just f**kd.

I feel your pain. My LO is teething and then we all got a stomach bug this weekend. Trying to look after my LO whilst feeling week and dizzy was tough. I had to keep him upstairs all day because he is heavy and I worried I would stumble on the stairs with the dizziness, especially if he wriggled. It was tough and he had less distractions from the teething so he was more irritable too.

I definitely appreciate this badly! I got therapy thru the nhs and the first few sessions were about how to find more opportunities for me to get more sleep 🙈 August was brutal for me (sleep and mental health wise) as our daughter was home all day for the whole month - where she’s usually at nursery 3 days p/wk. Once she went back to nursery this month, I needed 3 days to just rest and recover. Then ofcuz my husband and I are both feeling unwell atm. Today we’ve been tagging so one person can sleep and the other person looks after and entertains our 20m daughter.
