Teething...

Has anyone's littles gums looked like this? I know he's teething.. he's 4 months old and just seems miserable but I'm doing everything in the book for teething. When will those little guys cut through roughly? This will be week 2/3 of teething symptoms. I definitely see the teeth but was curious if anyone else had severe teething symptoms and the teeth took forever to come through or if they should pop through soon.. I just want them to come through already since he's so miserable!

That looks like they're about to come out any minute. My son started teething at 2.5 months and both of his bottom teeth ruptured out at the same time about 2 weeks ago.

I truly hope so for his sake. His crankiness and crying doesn't bother me, it's knowing he's in so much pain that bothers me. Poor baby. He recently had his lip and tongue tie corrected, so it's just been pain after pain for the little guy.

All of my kiddos have started having teething signs around 3 months and all not gotten teeth until closer to 9-10 months or later. That said, try to avoid the numbing gels, like the baby orajel. Those actually harden the gums and make it harder and more painful for the teeth to come in. Some babies get teeth quick, others not so much! You got it mama!

I've read so much bad stuff about teething gels, so I haven't used them!

@Marissa it's a really hard process. I've resorted to frozen breastmilk, and teething rings, but if the pain gets really bad at night to where he can't sleep then I'll give him a dosage of Tylenol. I also massage his gums which tends to help him too.

Also is throwing up a lot normal during teething? He had 4 oz when he woke up and threw up probably an ounce or more it was a lot and he's never done that before. He also soaked like 4 outfits with drool yesterday so I think that had a part in it
