Infantile spasms or reflexes?
My son jumps mid sleep but he’ll position his body directly onto hands/knees and cries a little but it stops once I grab him and move him closer to me. Not sure if it’s muscle spasms, separation anxiety (since he’s a co sleeper), or infantile spasms… of course I’m going to mention this to his doctor , it just doesn’t happen very often. Anyone else baby does this?

@Sam he’s 13 months , he kind of started doing it around 10ish months but nothing too crazy … cause of course he stops as soon as I grab him but thank you for the advice 🫶🏾😅

how old is your son ? it sounds to me like he’s just having a sudden wake which is normal and the hand and knees could be trying to find his bearing. if he stops when you comfort him i think it’s nothing to be worried about. if you can, take a video of it videos always help a doctor way more than we can try to explain it. i have a night light that’s kinda purple and it doesn’t disrupt our sleep but i think it helps with my sons sudden awakenings because he can kind of see around and it’s familiar. hope this helps 💜
