Spitting???

My son won’t stop spitting on himself and will randomly spit at others/animals?? I showed him how to do it so he wouldn’t be swallowing toothpaste while brushing his teeth and now it’s just out of control and he does it all the time. He doesn’t do this in a malicious way it almost seems like it’s funny to him. How can I stop this? He really doesn’t care about being in trouble either. Like if he feels like it’s worth it to him he just will do whatever behavior even if he gets in trouble for it. I feel like there’s no way to get through to him 🥲 what can I do?

I'm following in case anyone has advice. My son has been doing the same thing and I'm so ready for this phase to end.

My boy recently started doing this too and I’m OVER IT🙃 he’ll only listen to my husband and when I try to tell him no he thinks it’s a game🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m trying to not give it too much attention because I feel like it only makes the behavior worse. Glad I’m not the only one in this boat right now!

This is very reassuring to me, mine does this as well. SUPER annoying, but for some reason they do it around this time🤷🏾‍♀️
