How do y’all get motivated to work out?

I hate the way I look but idk why it’s so hard for me to just work out. It’s my mindset maybe. How did y’all start your journey?

Idk tbh hating my body is enough to motivate me.. i had the same issue at first with not feeling motivated but once you go to the gym and give it a try it makes you feel good

Mine was knowing family history, and seeing my blood sugar was high. Put me in gear, I haven't worked out in a month though due to lack of sleep, I go through bouts of terrible sleep so that threw me off

Set yourself a challenge I dropped a dress size doing it

I go to PT. For one they fix u up if it comes to the pelvic floor, two I see that if I have an appointment I feel obligated to go. They will specifically target your core to rebuild it and whatever else u tell them that "hurts or feel weak" after birth

Looking at the mirror is enough motivation 😂😂😂😂 I do fasting to help me lose weight too, it’s hard, like everything in life but it’s so rewarding !The hardest part is to get your butt to the gym, once you’re there you get things done

Just like health wise for me it’s important. I used to suffer from back pain and part of the treatment plan I’m on is getting 30 minutes of aerobic exercise each day and jogging is the easiest way to do that, been jogging just about everyday for 3 months and I’m a bit down in weight but mostly notice my back completely better and have more energy for my family which is huge. I try not to worry about aesthetics of my body since having my boys.

My best friend would buy a bathing suit 2x smaller than her size and look at it every morning for motivation then if she was watching tv and every commercial break she would get up and do some kind of set of work out whether if it was 10-20 squats or 15 pushups etc

Me I’m still trying to motivate myself even after buying some equipment lol

What helps me is finding a workout I like. Then I look forward to it rather than dreading it. I’m loving Barre Definition workouts right now. It’s an app subscription. I have also had good results from Jillian Michaels workouts and Yoga Burn workouts. I also always feel better after I workout so that motivates me as well as not being happy in my body at the moment

@Selena I started fasting today to try loose weight. Did it work for you? How many hours do you fast and how often? And how much did you loose if you did over how long haha sorry for all the questions fed up feeling heavy since having my baby 8 months ago! Should be slimmer by now

Music. I need music. If I have music, I can squat to the beat or start swinging my hips etc

I think having a friend that goes on this journey with you helps the most. You won’t skip training if you’re supposed to tell someone at the end of the week what you’ve done and how much weight you’ve lost. If you need someone like this just message me. :) I personally exercise every morning at home. I give my wild 2yo some toys in the guest room and some coloring books, turn on her favorite show and hope she would behave while I exercise. Most of the time she sits in my lap while I ride the bike adding 30lb to my leg weight :D The best is when I have to do a plank and she says Yeeehaaa and jumps on my back. You can get cheap equipment from FB Marketplace (often even free) or join YMCA as they have a daycare as long as you’re in the building (could use the gym, swim, use the sauna and so on). I started 2 weeks ago and I’m down 3lb and my goal is 1lb a week till I reach 110lb (currently 126.6lb (I’m short)). My favorite exercise videos are on YouTube Workout with Roxanne.
