False starts

Just experienced two false starts two nights in a row all of a sudden! This has never happened before? Why do they happen and how do you stop them? Having a baby who already doesn’t sleep through the night and wakes every 3 hours causes enough anxiety around bedtime. Throwing in false starts is pushing me over the edge 😂

Oh Tara I’m sorry!! They can just be developmental if it’s a new thing, so hopefully brief. We had them everyyyyy night from 4 months and have just stopped this week since working with the sleep consultant. I cannot tell you what change we made resulted in that change but it’s so nice to be able to relax now. If they’ve only just started, it could be developmental. Or under/overtired. So basically any sleep reason 😂

What is classified as a false start please?

@Christina if you have a wake within an hour of being put to bed. So, my baby would wake after 42 minutes every single night for months

We did try these tips: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8zyElwM-iH/?igsh=dnRlczN6YnkxMGs2

My baby has them if he’s been up too long from his last nap. He doesn’t do it if he’s down for the night within 1-2 hours of his last wake up
