Why does my baby push or slap me when she’s frustrated?

All I’m trying to do is feed her or clean her ears or nose or mouth and she’ll get so frustrated and push my hands or slap my hand Anyone’s baby this abusive as well? Am I doing something wrong?

My son does the same thing I try to redirect him onto something else so he isn’t bored or frustrated etc but it’s just an expression on emotion they don’t really know what to do yet

My daughter is very aggressive she likes to throw things and hit me idk what to do about it either

It's most likely not malicious. If we were to have someone try to touch us or make us do something we don't want to we would kick or fight too. You can try giving her the washcloth or wipe so she can see what it is and how it feels then take it gently from.her or while she is holding it and clean her. If she is acting like this while trying to feed them I usually take this as denial and try again later. If she always do it when you feed her then you may want to look into BLW.

She doesn’t know what’s going on or how to communicate. Imagine you were just chilling then someone who didn’t speak your language started rubbing a wet wipe on your face etc. all you can do for now is calmly reassure her and cuddle 🥰 it’s normal it’s their way of communicating at the moment xx

My son does this but good thing they 9 months now! You’re able to start establishing habits with them that they’ll understand and use in the future. That being said this is something that will take consistency, if your baby try’s hitting you simply grab their hands and say “hmm… no thank you” calmly followed by “ gentle touches, no hitting” and give them a demonstration by rubbing hand up and down where they hit you on their body. Doing this every time after about a week or 2 you should start to see changes. As far as the getting mad about cleaning that’s normal you might just have to hold them down for a few seconds while getting it done lol. Good luck☺️
