Back pain & prescription

Has anyone been prescribed anything from their midwife for back pain? I did a post a little earlier, I’m trying all these different things and nothing is working. The pain is affecting my sleep and eating, it’s just awful and I can’t go on like this. All boots said is paracetamol but that doesn’t even touch the sides. I’ve tried moving positions, walking, hot water bottle, hot baths, regular paracetamol, a pregnancy band. Just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and been prescribed anything that has helped them?

Could you ask for a physio referral? I have bad sciatica, probably due to my hyper mobility. My midwife told me about the option for physio appointments as I was expected to get bad back pain early on. Haven't had one yet so not sure if it would help you tho, but could be worth a try? :)

@Lilla I think that’s something I am really considering, I am debating going for a pregnancy massage to see if that helps but not sure if that will or not😩 x

Antenatal physio - in my area it’s a self referral but check if you need a GP referral. Mine got so bad at one point I got prescribed codeine, but I only needed one or two before the physio session.
