Baby self soothing to sleep?

My baby has always been a great deep sleeper. Since 4 months I could lie him down sleepy and he'd fall asleep on his own. He could also find his pacifier and go back to sleep on his own. Now he's 11 months, and I've had to nurse him to sleep, but now that's also not working as he stands up, rolls around, is so active. He is sleepy as usual just fighting sleep. Even naps only sleeps in a carrier wrap for the past 3-4 days Are your 11 month, almost 12 m babies sleeping on their own?
