Night time training

Any one offer any help with night time training? My little boy is 4 next month! He has been day time trained for 1.5 years. Is it even possible? He shows no signs of dry nappies on a morning. He does tell me on a morning he needs a wee but will wee throughout the night in his nappy. I have tried taking him for a night time wee at 10pm and 2am and he does wee but then still wees the bed in between. I've reduced his fluids to minimal 1.5 hours before bed. What else can I do? Or should I leave it? I followed Oh Crap for the day time and read the night time section and have followed it but it's been 1 month now and I feel awful waking him up so much every night. Thank you!

We chose to wait to night train until kiddo was dry overnight more often than not. If yours is still wet most (every?) morning, I'd just let it be for the time being.

Thanks! How old was yours when they were dry overnight? X

Mine were both early, around 3 and 3.5 I think, but I know kids who are still having trouble around age 6. You could speak with their pediatrician for reassurance, but I think it's pretty normal for many 4 year olds to still use pull ups overnight.

I read that it’s a chemical or brain development that has to occur a certain age for them to build this skill! Also, if there is a week of dry diapers, to give it a shot! He just isn’t ready yet and that’s okay!
