Tonies box

I’ve seen these being advertised and wondered if they’re suitable for our children’s age? If so, when would you use them?

I’ve bought one ready for Christmas, so when he’s 1. My friend got one for her little girl similar age and she said the best characters to start with are the ones they’re already familiar with from books etc and it’s something that will grow with them. Lots of people I know have them and recommend them as part of settling down routine and then as they get older some independent play time. I don’t think it’ll replace bedtime stories with us for a while, but I know people who have a second baby find it useful to help the older one settle if they’re dealing with the younger baby x

I got my eldest son one for Christmas when he was 18mo, and it was a big hit from the beginning and even more so now (he’s 3) would definitely recommend. We used it for the stories from the beginning, just in the day time, but also lots of songs and nursery rhymes etc which was lovely- you can download all sorts! It’s a lovely alternative to screen time, and it quickly became part of the bedtime routine for us- after 2 books read by us, he chooses a character and goes off to sleep listening to it.

Oo wonderful thanks, this definitely sounds like a good Xmas present/bday present!!
