I have but ours will be in October at 37 weeks due to twins. I’ve had it booked since 16 weeks but I’m a midwife and previous section so didn’t actually need the consultation for the counselling it was more what do want and when do you want it

All arranged etc to have a c section but in my area they call the week before to give a date. Will be in week 39.

Yes after my options clinic they sent the letter about 2wks later..u was around 26wks when they sent it.

@Rachel I had a birth options telephone call before 20 weeks but nothing booked.

Oh right did they not tell you then when to expect it? I thought it would be later but she told me on day it would be within 3wks. Call your antenatal clinic tomorrow and they'll tell you a time frame I'm sure

I had to ask for mine, I got it at 32 weeks. The midwife put through a consultant referral and they sent me a letter with an appointment date, then just straight up asked them "can you give me a surgery date please" x

I'm seeing the Midwife this week so will ask then. Haven't seen her since April. It looks like they hardly see you when it's your second baby

No date yet and 34 weeks pregnant now. Have consultant appointment this week so hoping for a date then 🤞🏼

Update: apparently it won't be booked until 36 week consultant appointment and they book it for 39 weeks. Wondering if that's a little short notice

I've heard some trusts give you a date upto a week before 😳

@Rachel gosh that's cutting it fine.

I pushed for my date because I have to arrange childcare, as mad as that sounds. I think with it being elective you know you're going to get a specific date so I have to plan childcare around that and who's doing school runs etc My brother will be travelling down from London to care for my kids while I'm in hospital so he needs plenty of notice. We're screwed if I go into spontaneous labour 😂

@Natalie likewise I need to arrange childcare for my toddler so I will keep chasing them up
