@Lily, yes, I've called different dentist offices, and they all basically said the same thing that they want the child to be dependent and they would let me know what's going on in the back and they'll try to gain the child's trust 🦷😁
Smile magic has always let me choose if I wanted my parent back there w me or not when I was a child so that’s where I take my son
Hi Alexis, I’m a dentist in WA state. There is no law that a parent cannot be back in the room with the kid patient, this may just be something that specific dental office requests. I allow all my parents to be in the room with their kids when I work on them. Did you try asking the dentist/talking to them about your concern and having them make an exception for you? Maybe the dentist is able to communicate and work better with the child sometimes without the parent as well. I would hope that my parents communicate their requests and I try to communicate back too, what I think is best for the patient.
