C-section or not?

It’s my first pregnancy and a while to go but I want to be mentally and physically prepared. I’ve gotten conflicting information whether a c section is the only way to go for both twins to come out properly. Worried that if I try for natural birth twin b will have complications and “freak out” when twin a leaves the womb

I had my twins by csection because I had a placenta previa but know people who had their twins vaginally. Depending on the type of twins, you may have to be induced because of risk factors so less twins are born naturally. Worth talking to your consultant about risk factors

I had my twins vaginally at 37weeks. They were born 38mins apart and they were good and healthy no concern or complications. I was induced into labour too. But I'd say speak to doctors about your concerns. Goodluck and congratulations

i was kinda thinking similar things like would like to do vaginally but what if a comes vaginal route then they have to do a c-section on b then i’ll be healing both ways which i’d rather do both one way or the other

I had my twins vaginally at 38 weeks Twin 1 was head down my entire pregnancy and I was told as long as this was the case I could go for the vaginal birth. Twin 2 kept moving but I was told she would likely move to the right position when twin 1 had come out and there was room- if not they could manipulate her in to the head down position. Ended up giving birth to twin 2 breach. But she came very quickly after twin 1 (4 minutes) and they didn’t have the time to manipulate her into a head down position. She and I were absolutely fine after this though The conflicting information is so difficult I had it through out my pregnancy too. Thankfully my auntie has been a midwife for 40 years so I was lucky to have her advice Happy to ask her any questions if you have any x

Just had twins via c-section but they were born at 31 weeks. It really depends on how you are doing and how they are doing. You may be able to birth them naturally but sometimes things can get complicated. Don’t stress it too much.

ive always said if i end up going into labour early i will try for a natural birth but now ive planned my c-section birth i think im going to stick to it. either way there are risks. and im very nervous about the section recovery but i have a lot of anxiety and work myself up about things and i think for me, twin 2’s health is more important than my anxiety so i will be doing a section just incase because she has been transverse my whole pregnancy. i won’t be able to recover from both a vaginal and section with two babies so i think thats why i chose a section just in case. it’s more than possible to delivery vaginally and you can definitely do it. i have been told this multiple times but because i know what to expect with a section and have been talked through it multiple times i can definitely prepare for the process better which relieves some of my stress x

Hey I had my twins 3 weeks ago twin 2 was transverse and had been for all of my pregnancy and twin 1 was head down! I was able to have a natural vaginal birth and I pushed for 4 mins!! GO ME 😂🤍🙏🏽 there are some positive stories I only had one small stitch as they had to use forceps to help twin two xxx

@Summer-Rose read my below comment you will be able to have natural my little one was transverse I just had to give birth in operating room just in case but everyone is different xx

I have identical twins, i was told that they would not suggest i attempt to deliver vaginally as baby b was transverse. They said there's always the possibility of the baby turning after the first one is delivered because there's more room since there was two babies but no guarantee. I went with the c-section because i didn't want to attempt to deliver vaginally and have to go to an emergency c-section, not worth putting their lives at risk and my anxiety couldn't handle it haha. Plus I know if they have to put you under really quick sometimes they fully knock you out and I wanted to meet my babies right when they were born instead of having to wait till I woke up from anesthesia had that situation played out that way. Always your choice though, I've been told my doctors since that it's completely possible to deliver both vaginally and have a successful birth!
