I drove at 3weeks, I put a folded blanket or a cushion on my tummy to stop the seatbelt rubbing. And brake really gently!
I thought you weren’t covered on insurance until 6 weeks but may have completely made that up!
I did a quick run to Tesco just over 3 weeks pp and I was a little achy after it. I’d just keep it to an absolute minimum and only when necessary. Also check with your insurance as well but I think most of them just say when you can do an emergency stop comfortably x
Check your car insurance to make sure it doesn’t say anything specific, some say 6 weeks. There is no hard rule that it must be 6 weeks. However you must be able to make an emergency stop without bracing your wound for pain.
Check with your insurance. I got it in writing from them that once I felt ok, I could drive again. It was about 3 weeks for me. We're in a village with no shops and poor bus service, so driving was needed. Check you are happy to do a sudden break movement, just in case you need to do an emergency stop.
You need to be able to do an emergency stop safely, but all insurers have their own policy re when you can drive after a c section so you’ll be best giving them a ring
The doctor told me when you feel like you could confidentally make an emergency stop x
I waited the full 6 weeks and glad I did tbh as helped my recovery massively
You need to check with your insurance. Mine weren’t bothered unless I was still on any strong pain killers so I drove at 3 weeks as was only having the odd paracetamol here and there
I didn’t drive until I felt like I could. It’s not advised before 6 weeks because if you get into an accident, and the air bag goes off, it can reopen your wound 🤢
Check with your insurance. I didn't drive for 14 weeks but that was more to do with having no where to drive to in covid times.
I waited 5 and a half weeks but was very small journeys. It does go really quick. They say 6 six week because if involved in an accident you won’t be covered on insurance
