Elective C-section

I’m thinking about having an elective C-section. This is my first baby. I do have an apron tummy so would a C-section be a good idea as I’m worried about my skin rubbing on the incision and scar. I don’t want it to get irritated or anything. Any C-section stories welcome 💜

Totally depends on your surgeon tbh. My incision was in my pubic hair, so low you could barely see it. Nowhere near my stomach muscles so I didn’t have any rubbing post surgery. I had one with my first baby and I loved the experience so much that I’m already booked in for another in December. Happy to answer any questions xx

@Sarah my belly rubs the top of my pubic hair so I’m just worried about irritation. I’m hoping to have an elective. Due Feb 7th but doctors said I could have him mid January. Thank you for responding 💜

From a mum with a tum, who’s had 2 c-sections. You’d just have to make sure you let the air get to it regularly while it heals so it has a chance to dry and not get too moist. You can get c section recovery patches to go over the incision if it’s sensitive right after surgery.
