Induction of labour

So I’m getting induced next Wednesday (38+6) and I was wondering if I could hear some positive stories if people are comfortable doing so! ❤️

I was induced at 38 weeks with my last. I went in to get the balloon and was already 3cm so no need :) because i was already dilating and my cervix was super thin they kept me overnight to break my waters and start me the next morning. My waters were broke at 10:00 and i was started on the drip ( also started on fasting protocol for gestational diabetes so glucose/insulin infusion running too) i ended up having my beautiful boy at 20:05. I did tap out around 6.5cm and got epidural but it was a back labour so didnt have the effect i was hoping for 😅 still felt about 80% of everything but it definitely took the edge off and helped me relax enough to progress fast. It was a fantastic experience and i was having great craic with the student midwife in between contractions. Im being induced again in 3 weeks and am looking forward to handing baby girl her eviction notice 😂

Also a tens machine is a great shout and a fantastic aid for pain relief

My daughters due date was 10th oct. I was induced on Friday night with the gels and had her on Sunday 29th lunchtime. I was 38 +3 when she was born. I had a great experience with induction so don’t be put off everybody is different. Gels gave me period like cramps but nothing unbearable then everything died down I got some rest on the Saturday night and woke up Sunday morning in labour. Don’t stress too much, you’ve got this x

I had a really positive experience! Got Induced with 2 prostins in the evening, nothing happened after the first but it kickstarted after the second! I laboured through the night and by 9am I was 4cm and my waters burst on their own, I then had an epidural and slept through most of my labour! At 21:28 that same evening my little boy was born🩵
