We introduced the potty around 17 months. We started actual potty training around 21 months. He’s 26 months now and does pretty well. We still use pull ups at night but he’s been getting better that at that as well. Does your daughter show interest in using the potty?
@Domonique we don’t have a small potty chair yet, but she just joins us in the bathroom all the time.
We started potty training our daughter at 18 months. The advice now is to start putting them on a potty from when they can sit so if you want to then go for it. We went for having her naked all weekend, the first day was awful but the second was considerably better. It made it easier that she could speak so could tell us wee wee/poo poo or potty/toilet. We rewarded actually doing something on the toilet with bubbles, she loves bubbles and we wanted to stay away from food/treats. She also isn’t bothered about a sticker chart. We also would clap and make a big deal and she would join in as she loves the praise. Just find a way that your child is encouraged and it helps. She’s almost 21 months now and still claps when she does a wee and says well done
The oh crap potty training book says ideal time is 22 to 30 months. My MIL said she potty trained my husband at 18 months. My kid didn’t walk til 17 months and wasn’t really talking much at that point either so it def was not a possibility to start training that early. I started Sunday at almost 27 months
I introduced the potty around 22 months. He never cared about being wet or dirty so it took a while lol. We also weren’t very consistent. Whatever method you choose be consistent and have patience
