I’m due in 10 days with my second, will be 17 months after my emergency c section. They’re letting me go to 41 weeks to hopefully go into spontaneous labour and if I decide I still dont want my c section on that date then I’m going to call up and say I’m not doing it. They cannot force me into surgery and it is my midwife who has said all of this to me x
I’m currently pregnant, due in March, I had a c section in July last year so there’ll be a 20 month gap or so. When I said to the midwife at my booking appointment I wanted a VBAC she was happy for me to do that. There wasn’t any conversation about another c section. She did say they do not induce with VBACs, but no mention at all of it not being possible or any time frame to go into labour by x

I was 27 months between my emergency section and my VBAC but the consultant did tell me they like it to be 18 months plus so I’d think you should be fine 🥰 they said as long as it was over that they’d be happy to let me go 10 days over (if me and baby were both well I’d have declined induction even at 10 days over though), so don’t let them fob you off with what they will and won’t allow, they aren’t allowed to refuse, everything is your choice 🥰
