Christmas Present Ideas

Lots of family members are asking for ideas for our little boy who will be almost six months at Christmas and I have no idea what to suggest as we aren’t even getting him very much 🤷🏼‍♀️ Can anyone help please? Thinking development/long-term options.

We've just asked for things like plates/cups for small things and a highchair for bigger presents. We are going to buy a cot and things for her own room because we had just moved when we had her, so never had time to do her room x

Maybe I'm just a bookworm but we ask for a book with the date and a message written inside for our boys. They don't need things, but books will always be treasured and a lot of these people won't be around forever so it gives the boys tangible memories. It's also easier for people (particularly elderly) to buy a book rather than searching for specific things or just buy something you don't need or want x

If you don’t already have anything to start weaning onto solids look into weaning accessories. Bibado bibs are great but on the pricey side. They also do a great first spoon which is easy for baby to hold and not shove down their throat. Open cup, weighted straw bottle, snack pots for on the go. You could get a few weaning snacks for stocking fillers. Also a first toothbrush. The brush baby sonic electric toothbrush is great. I’d also second books as a present. Hand puppets are also super for engaging little ones/developing language, especially the ones where you can move the mouth, like from the puppet company. It’s a great long term toy too as they’ll start to use the puppets themselves when they get older. Puppets and scarves have been the most used toy from my first who is now 2.5

I've told everyone that I'd rather money as he'll have some toys off me and my partner, and with the money we can go on days out or even a little weekend away somewhere, I'd rather have the memories than toys that'll end up in a charity shop 6 months later 🤔

All brilliant suggestions, thank you everyone 🙌🏼
