It seems like thats normal for their age my baby crawls, pulls up, furniture walkng but hasnt taken her first steps. Can do gestures when singing, claps, says duck, dada but not mama ☹️. Plays with her toys, putting toys to containers. I wouldnt worry as babies develop their own pace :)
My Daughter walks over crawling. Babbles and mama and stuff but no words like ball. Sounds like they are doing great. Every baby is different to. You are doing great
Crawling is no longer a milestone.
What do they think your child should be doing? My child only says Dada and sometimes momma. He has walked since 9 months old so now he is running lol but didn’t crawl until 10 months and doesn’t do much crawling. He does know a lot of sign language but doesn’t necessarily use it appropriately. Your child is absolutely on track. There are a lot of apps if you want to do more things with him that will probably put your mind at ease. We use a lot of Montessori toys he really loves them.
Sounds like your baby is right on track 🥰 Do not let others concern you, if you have questions speak to your pediatrician. I have heard of many babies skipping the crawling stage and going right to walking! In terms of motor and cognitive skills, I have found both our local library story time classes and a membership to our local kids science museum to be top tier activities! We also go to playgrounds a lot, even though they often say for ages 5 and up, I plop her right on the stairs. She has started to crawl up the stairs and even zips down the slide on her belly! (no fear that one). I do not constrain my kid to her stroller / hiking pack for long, and always use them as vehicles to get somewhere that she can use her body. At this stage, my main focus is challenging her physically and mentally while she is awake. She has free roam of the house (I am constantly watching her) and when she gets herself into sticky situations, I watch at a close distance and always give her time to figure it out herself.
