I have no feeling an inch or two above my scar. And totally with you, it makes me feel nauseous as well. I can't explain it to people. I've been told you have got to massage the area to bring back feeling to the nerve receptors as they were severed. There is no set time on how long it takes to come back either, so I've been told 😬😬
Yes my right side I can't feel. My friend had a c section 2 years ago and still has numbness
I have no feeling at all on my lower belly it’s so weird x
Apparently it’s never damage or smfn
Yes I have this too! Feels so numb😬
I had this with my first one and it came back, this time I didn't have it as bad and it's starting to get better again. I think it's hit and miss but just giving you another perspective. Scar massage helps and also helps it stop pulling as you move more in day to day life too as it stretches the skin out a bit, if you can stand touching it x
@Rachel do you go somewhere to get scar massage done? Or do it yourself?
@Shruti I went somewhere private at first, then did it myself with some unscented oil she gave me as I'm allergic to alot of things. It's called The Pregnancy Emporium but is based near Blackpool, not sure what you'd search for to find something similar near you. Maybe scar massage or 4th trimester pregnancy aftercare?! X
Not thought of scar massage definitely going to see if there's any near me. Honestly it's such a weird feeling it makes me feel sick haha I thought it might last forever to be honest the things we go through for these babies 🥰
@Ella yeah I had the sick thing really bad after my first c section. I had to ask her to stop the first time it just made me feel weird, but I got to the point where I could play a meditation app on my phone and do it at night for 5 mins or so before I went to sleep. Just try not to think about it when you do it and after a while you kind of get used to it x
I have numbness around the scar area, I also get that kind of nauseous feeling, I also feel like I’m a little freaked out by it for some reason, I don’t really tend to touch it much, I know I should get more comfortable with it but I try to just pretend it’s not there almost. I have thought about scar massage but this freaks me out a little for some reason with the thought of touching it to much, it’s difficult to explain
@Ella it’s recommended to do scar massage from few weeks after c section for this reason. I started from around 1 month pcc with physio and I do have feeling around the scar
And better start now than wait longer
I don’t have feeling in parts of my tummy - I’ve been told that the feeling may never come back
