My son was also the 22nd! So far I've got him some 12m+ toys, like an activity cube, wooden puzzles, pull along toys, wooden blocks as well as a few clothes in 12-18m, I've got him one Christmas themed flap book but want to get some more as well as some birthday themed and just general ones. My mum is getting him a tonie box too. Other than that (so far) I've got new snacks that are 12m+ and some toddler cutlery. I'm avoiding big items at the moment as we're hopefully moving to a house (currently in a 1 bed flat) very soon, but once we're settled I'd love to get him a balance bike and maybe an activity table. I'm currently planning to just split the gifts between his birthday and Christmas and I might also hold some things back for later on in the year too.
Trike and a kitchen are his big presents. Bday is 20th
I actually want to get him a tonie box I know it’s early but my nephew has one and it’s so lovely and good screen free entertainment. Also like he doesn’t need much right now and doesn’t know so might as well! My neice just turned one and loves her brothers kitchen so I’ve been considering that.
We’re getting our little boy the 4 in 1 micro scooter - our 5 year old still uses hers now and so we know it’s a great investment. We did have a trike for her but it wasn’t used much so was a bit of a waste of money. I’ve also started buying a few bits in charity shops like the JL wooden post box, little Dutch ball run and we got the wooden slide in the Aldi toy event yesterday which will be a joint Christmas present for him and his sister. We’re asking for money from family to buy a farm and soft play pass and clothes if they want to buy something. I’ll probably wrap up some of my older child’s toddler toys for him to unwrap as from memory my eldest just loved unwrapping stuff/boxes rather than the actual gifts!
Love these ideas! My little one’s birthday is 20th. But I’ve been keeping empty boxes to wrap as ripping the paper and creating a mess seems to be where he finds the real fun!! I’ll probably just put his toys he’s already got in the boxes 😂😂 and let family buy new gifts/toys and I’ll spend the money on clothes and shoes for the next year instead. X
Ahhh birthday twins!! My mums getting my LG a trike, I wanna get her a little indoor trampoline 🥹🥹 then just loads little bits! I’ve asked for books instead of cards. I’m also getting stuff that range upto 2 years as obvs they’ll grow so much before comes round again hahaha. Then all presents just split down middle as to whether bday or Christmas. Big presents birthday though, more special ❤️
23rd Dec here - So we’ve got her a ball pit, a trike, loadssss of wooden puzzles, clothes - contemplating a little wooden climbing set I’ve asked family to purchase little day trip activities for us to do - now I’m just trying to figure out Christmas 🫠 xx
21st here!! We are planning to get him an electric F1 car (absolutely for us more than him) and a few small toys/books but not a great deal because others will gift things and it will be a huge job finding homes for all birthday and Christmas at the same time. We have come up with the idea to ask people to get vouchers or put money into his bank account for one of them. This helps his future and helps us buy him bits and pieces over the next year as he grows.
We’re thinking an electric car for him to drive around in. Already buy him stuff on a regular but were saving this for Christmas since it’s a little more pricey lol. Anything else will just be like a stuffer . I like the idea of a balance bike tho, my husband wants to teach our son how to ride dirt bikes later down the line
