Triage
Does anyone else feel like they get lots of different advice and opinions at triage? I've just spent 24 hours at triage and came out feeling more anxious. I tested positive for preterm labour and was told by the doctor that I will more than likely go into labour in the next couple of weeks (I am 35 weeks). A midwife informed me that the test can be a fake positive and not to worry. Then I had a scan and they told me it doesn't look like he's coming yet due to the amount of water in there however he's not growing as much as he was (he's currently 6LB) me and my partner are small and petite. There's also a chance that I have a UTI but the numbers are not high enough so I have ro chase that up over the next week.
On my way out the doctor said, come back in if your mucus plug goes or waters break. My mucus plug went last Thursday. They have also arrange for me to be induced when I'm 39 weeks. It's just a lot of different information and I'm feeling quite overwhelmed no one tells you about all the finer detail..😂
May be a silly question sorry but how do they test for preterm labour?
