Best playgrounds

Best playgrounds in or just outside Brighton? We do queens park loads as live in kemptown and do the park on the level and beach fairly regularly. Sometimes Preston park. Is there any other good toddler aged parks (mine is nearly 2)? Willing to drive a little - we rarely go to one in Shoreham with big wooden boat.

*I meant Worthing not Shoreham!

Brooklands in lancing is great if you don’t mind driving that far

Stanmer Park is Great too, we also walk in the woods there a bit. And in the summer Saunders park is lovely (kids pool, nice Italian food and playground). Blakers Park has a great big sandpit

@Tanya I’m in Rottingdean so fairly near kemptown. We like Queen’s Park too, especially for the swans.. My criteria for a good park is easy, free or cheap parking (this is why I rarely go into Brighton for parks etc, parking is hard, traffic with a toddler that hates the car!) A good cafe with decent coffee. Then of course the facilities at the park. (General cleanliness, toilets, enough for kids to do) The big park in peacehaven. Probably the best kids park in the wider area so much for them to do. Nice cafe and flat green for kids to play footy, free parking. Saltdean park, near the beach and library (which is in the Lido). We go to the park, then library have a coffee in the lido then down to the beach and make an afternoon of it. Free parking if you use the library or cafe.

Wish park and Stoneham park in Hove are both good and have cafes. Also light touch parking, so you can park between 12 and 6 for free (would have to double check times on council website)

Thanks everyone. You've saved us from the repetitive, mind numbing same park trips!! Really appreciate the suggestions
