Even if he’s not saying dadada etc? It’s mostly vowel sounds. Someone commented on it at a playgroup the other day 😢 thanks!
They group these together developmentally for 6-12 months, and say to discuss with your HV if not doing much babbling by 12 months, baby will probably come on loads in the next month or two. For context my baby says dada all day every day (rude if you ask me lol) but still doesnt crawl, they are all so different
My boy is the same. He will make the ba, ma, da etc sounds occasionally but prefers the ahhhhh or ooooooh. I'd be more worried if he was really quiet but he isn't x
Them making sounds is the most important part. Don’t focus on the ‘ma’ and ‘da’ my little boy babbles all day, he follows the rhythm of conversation when you talk back to him and he also mixes constanants like ‘ma ba’ - he has no idea what mama and dada is. Don’t worry x
You have no reason to worry at all at this age. Obviously every baby develops at different ages but the fact he's making noises at all is a good sign. My little one says mama when she wants me (meaning she wants boob 😑), but she also didn't know how roll until recently... still can't roll back to front and has only just started to crawl. Even knowing how to roll she doesn't do it every day or anything
When babies this age are saying dada or mama they are just babbling not actually saying words, the noises your baby is making are completely on track developmentally, this wouldnt be a worry for many more months
