You probably cant take any while breastfeeding you'd have to speak to a doctor

Diet and exercise . Like the above commenter stated you probably can’t take anything for weight loss while breastfeeding.

Weight loss medication is relatively new. It hasn’t been tested for breastfeeding women, whilst it is unlikely that it would pass into milk (it breaks down into large molecules which typically don’t easily pass into milk). It hasn’t been tested on babies, plus it could affect milk production. Respectable doctors are unlikely to prescribe anything. It’s really risky to you, to baby and your nursing relationship. Safest weight loss for now would be through diet and exercise

Intentional weight loss is almost definitely going to impact your supply. Medication may harm your baby and potentially you too. That being said there’s nothing wrong with adding more movement / exercise into your routine as well as more protein, fiber and veggies/fruits. Making some lifestyle choices now will make it easier to kick it into higher gear when you’re done breastfeeding. This time that you are producing all the nutrition for your baby is just a season and it’s ok to not be skinny for this season (and actually in general)! Focusing on enhancing your nutrition will benefit both of you. I hope you can find a path that feels good for you!
