do i call triage?

i’m confused when to go into hospital.. this is my contractions but they’re completely bearable and not like taking my breathe away or anything, can i can talk through them etc. do i have to wait until the pain is unbearable or is just done on how frequently they are? we’re about 30 mins from hospital so i don’t wanna go in and then be told to go home again my waters haven’t gone yet if that’s relevant thank you sorry FTM

What did you use to track this?

Normally this app tells you when its time to go to the hospital so I've been told x

My hospital didn’t want me to go in until my contractions were 1min long and 3 mins apart consistently and unbearable to handle. The app tells you to go in as soon as it sees any pattern; but it’s very unlikely you’ll actually be dilated much at this point. Longer you stick it out at home the more comfortable you’ll likely be, until you need pain relief that is! X

I was the exact same I had no pain up til the hour I needed to push. My contractions app told me 6 times to go to the hospital before I actually did lol don’t focus on the pain focus on the time between contractions. I didn’t have any pain til my contractions were 2 minutes apart. My contractions were all 46 seconds long and went from 8 minutes to 5 minutes to 4 minutes from 4:30am to 7:30am. Please don’t listen to anyone if they say wait til it’s unbearable. Not everyone has the same pain threshold! I was in hospital from 7:30am and wasn’t in proper pain til about 11:30am-12pm and I gave birth shortly after. My waters didn’t break until I was actively pushing baby out.

You can always call and tell them the current situation, they'll tell you when you should go in, that's what I did.

The app will tell you when to go in. A notification usually pops up x

I would recommend ringing the maternity unit and letting them know how far apart they are and how long they’re lasting, they might ask you to call back and update them if they become more frequent or give you some advice of when to go in x

Thanks all! I called and they suggested to stay at home until they’re more established, eg a little bit longer in time and the pain is a bit more intolerable. I’m going to have some dinner, get an early night and try and get some sleep whilst I can before they get more intense! x

@Amg it’s called contraction timer

Don’t leave it too long like me, i thought it was bearable first time i was 4/5cm second time i was 9cm 🙈 my contractions were never consistent but my body was telling me otherwise, good luck for baba coming!
