If they offer this extra thing called a tdap or something immediately after your c section that helps block the pain for another 24 hours, take it!!
I had an unplanned emergency c section, and had a difficult time on the table afterwards (a lot of shaking and spamming) (but also getting a c section itself was not bad at all). My two pieces of advice are: no med students. It takes too long to get sewn up. And even if you are shaking, they can still hold your baby on your chest for you so you can see her. I did not know this and had to wait five hours. If I could do it again, I would’ve asked.
@Chelle same situation here, it was rough! I did get to see her for a minute but then had to wait several hours to get back from post op. I was freaking out! My body was NOT handling it well. Going in with it planned would have made all the difference though, but it was rough for me lol
