Elective C-section tomorrow!

I’m so excited but also so nervous! It’s quite a lot of waiting around too which gives too much time for thinking! Does anyone have any general c-section tips or advice for the actual procedure/aftercare?

I have mine booked tomorrow too 🥰

Mine is booked for the 23rd and I’m so nervous too!

I had an emergency section last Thursday, please please pleaseeee make sure you don’t try to do too much too fast. Even if you feel fine, it’s major surgery and you deserve as much rest as possible 💞

@Victoria ahh good luck! How many weeks are you?

@Racheal ah ok thank you! How are you doing so far?xx

I will be 39+3 tomorrow 🥰 how many weeks are you? Good luck to you too! 💞

The first couple of days are tough and keeping on top of pain management is key, I’d recommend taking your own paracetamol and ibuprofen to the hospital or you’ll have to wait for them to bring it rough, but it’s better every day! Also for wound care it sounds so basic but the drier you keep the incision the faster you heal. Good luck! Xx

Following this feed. Mine is booked in for tomorrow afternoon, 39+4 and I’m so excited to meet my little one! Good luck to you all and all the best wishes for safe and healthy deliveries :) x

Set alarms on your phone for every interval you need to take painkillers so you don’t forget and they’re perfectly spaced apart. Even when you start to feel good; don’t do anything! Take it as easy as physically possible. Don’t be lured into false sense of feeling better too soon. From the minute you’ve had your section, drink mint tea, lots of water and take a stool softener; you’ll inevitably be terrified of going for a poo so try to make it as easy for yourself as possible. Take it easy and be kind to yourself, section recovery isn’t fun but the love you’ll have for your baby is the best pain relief in the world! xx

I had an elective C-section 3 weeks ago today. Please take it easy, unfortunately I’m a single parent and my parents work so I did too much too soon and ended up with a digestive system infection 😭 Take pain killers even if you feel okay because when it creeps up it really can be uncomfortable. To keep my wound nice and clean I bought a flannel only used for that and dabbed with warm water and patted dry twice a day. Other than that enjoy every second it’s all over so quickly. Good luck ❤️

Good luck!! I have mine in 2 weeks x x
