6weeks+ is recommended for a reason, you are at risk of infection, you have a large wound in your uterus left by the placenta, it needs time to heal. You might feel fine to do it but it is really risky. You should research the reason why you need to wait or talk to your midwife, they usually inform you about that. Your partner should know as well to be patient. I wasn't at all ready after 6 weeks and really not in the mood, but if you really want to, there are other way to please yourself and your partner
At 3 weeks I stopped bleeding completely and we did it, it felt totally fine and it was more of a gentle time than usual 🤣 but now looking back oh my god how stupid were we!!! I didn’t get an infection but that’s not to say I could’ve - there’s a reason 6 weeks is advised xxx
I asked my midwife today and she said ‘nobody really waits six weeks’ 🫣 I feel like maybe she shouldn’t have said that to me!
My friend did it at 4 weeks and ended up back in hospital 🤷🏻♀️
Yeah a bit irresponsible from your midwife but I guess she saw it all
The last thing you want is to develop and infection, feel like crap and have to look after a new born
8 weeks after my first (episiotomy took a while to heal), the day before 6 weeks with my second
let your body rest or you'll cause even bigger problems 🤦🏻♀️
