Crafty stuff

Recently I have been hearing more and more people saying about the arts and crafts they so with their toddlers. Today I tried. I am the least creative, imaginative, crafty, artsy person on the planet. I really want us to be able to enjoy this sort of activity together, and break up the constant playing with cars. Any help of where to start. Some simple ideas.

Get a big colouring book, some chunky crayons, and some stickers. You can also get reusable sticker books. That’s about the most I do 😅 but she does do some crafty activities at nursery. There are some good accounts on Instagram as well if you use that.

Getting dry leaves and popping them under paper and using the side of a crayon do a rubbing to get an imprint of the leaf nice and simple

we did some sticking the other day with paper, a glue stick, some feathers and some pom poms. Kept him amused for a good 15 minutes!

Buy some rich tea biscuits and icing pens, creative and can then be eaten afterwards (so doesn’t need to be kept like most crafts 😂)

I bought a roll of paper from ikea and paint pens- just let her draw. I did gloop the other day which she enjoyed- the man she washed everything in the bowl the get the gloop off - we have playdoh and paint. We are waiting for some leaves to dry out before we pick leaves ect for some glueing and sticking
