Way too early… The bum muscles that toddlers need to actually poop on demand and be able to hold it don’t develop until a few years.
I started putting my daughter on potty at almost 9 months She was sitting independently and i just sit with her I don’t call jt potty training, just introduced it to her She now knows what to do once i sit her on it and rarely has poppy diapers I started putting her on when i notice she’s wanting to go, then she will do it in potty, then i got a routine of putting her on twice a day. Then now, we are introducing signs and songs. She still poops in her diapers, i dont call it accidents or fret about it coz its normal You determine when your baby is ready, cultural differences is definitely a thing. My culture, we start introducing it early and they are usually out of diapers before 2 But i understand its different in US and UK where i live
@Robiat my mom told me all her kids were potty trained my 1 year old and I know it’s not something that happens overnight he is sitting independently but how do I know what the signs are to show me he’s ready? Or do I just sit him there and see how long he will stay?
@Bre send me a message and i can explain in detail
They typically say not to start until 18 months at the earliest and after 2 is once they’ll really start to get it. But, you know your baby best and if they are showing signs.
