It’s sooooo hard, I’m 22 weeks today after a missed miscarriage at the begining of the year but the funny thing is as soon as you see your new baby on the screen, the heart break slowly fixes itself and you feel like that first baby was never meant to be! I have had lots of extra scans and in that moment it helps, I think the worry will stay forever though. I’m not having a baby shower as I don’t feel like I can relax enough to enjoy the experience. Xxx
It’s really hard like the others have said. I just had my baby a month ago and I got pregnant with him the month after my miscarriage at 7 weeks last year. I never even had a period between them. Early on it was a lot of relying on my hcg numbers being higher and mostly my symptoms being different and stronger. We had an earlier ultrasound at 7 weeks and seeing his heartbeat made a huge difference because we never saw our other baby’s. Then it was relying on every time we got to hear his heartbeat in the check ups. The best I did was when I could feel him start moving finally. As I got further along, kick counts helped and always hearing him at appts. I also counted down to viability at 24 weeks. It’s hard but you’ll get there momma. No pregnancy is the same twice. I still worry even now honestly but each milestone helps.
A big congratulations! The truth is that it is very hard, but I found just taking it day by day helped. Not looking too far ahead. But not holding onto the last too much either. Trying to keep present. Easier said than done. And other things like private scans, listening at midwife appointments to HB via Doppler, meeting milestones like 12 week scan, 20 week scan etc. Being kind to yourself because you are already doing your best. 😊
Congratulations 🥳 it’s so hard honestly 😔 I had an ectopic pregnancy and then was pregnant 4 months later, unexpectedly. I struggled with anxiety of loss throughout tbh, really wasn’t easy but, I got support through most of my pregnancy with a pregnancy after loss mental health charity called maple. It was great but they’re based in London. Take a look at what support there is near you. Best of luck xx
