Mild period cramps

Been having mild period cramps for about 2 weeks now, that come and go every few days. I’m now getting them every day. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m 38 weeks+3 and hoping I get to meet my baby girl soon 🤞🏻💖

Braxton hicks. Been getting them as well the last couple of weeks. I thought it was just little man have a stretch 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️.

@Kirstie oh! Is that what it is? Braxton hicks?

I’ve been having braxton hicks for about 5 weeks now and then this week for the past 3 nights I’ve had more like period cramps (I’m currently 36+4) they definitely feel different to the braxton hicks and hope it means baby is slowly making and appearance xx

I’m 38+2 and having the same. I had braxtons for ages and were pretty painless but now I’m having the more period type cramps most days for a couple weeks but fizzles out and starts again the next day. I’m under the impression it’s just more like intense braxton hicks as I was hoping it would be the start of something but apparently not🤔x

I don’t understand the difference? So is Braxton hicks more mild that period pains? As I am now getting period pains and I’d say every day now

@Amber braxton hicks are supposed to be uncomfortable but not painful. Usually a strong tightening of the bump but normally doesn’t have pain x

I’m 36 weeks and experienced what I described as “bad period cramps” today when walking around shopping centre. Sitting down and taking it easy seemed to ease the pain, but definitely think it was Braxton Hicks since these can feel like period pains.

Braxton hicks have no pattern and don’t get closer together or intensify (so if you’re having them last a half a minute every 10 minutes then they’re getting more like a minute long, 8 minutes apart, then call triage), they’re not typically painful but some are, I’ve had painful ones but now 38 weeks nearly and still no sign of baby but I’m booked in for c section next week. If you are concerned call Medicom but if there’s no patterns to getting them n they get better with movement or eating/drinking, I wouldn’t worry xx
