I said yes, but I got one for my son for Christmas so haven't tried it out yet!
We are also getting one for Xmas!
We’ve had one for a few months now, so absolutely.
Absolutely! My eldest was 13mo when we got ours, youngest has been using it since around 12mo and helps with most meals. This morning he buttered his own toast and cut up his own banana while my eldest made his own cereal and I got to sort the washing in peace😂
Thanks all!! Looking at a foldable one for Xmas ☺️ any recommendations are welcomed! I love the idea of getting him involved. He is always clinging to me whilst I’m in the kitchen at the moment so I feel having him do age appropriate tasks would be great. That and I’m asking for a toddler knife set for him for Xmas so figured that would be a great pair!
@Georgia that is adorable!!!
My little one is walking since his first birthday and well able to climb. He’s currently climbing chairs so yep we plan to set it up for him. Prefer the safety of a tower than him being hands free on something high.
My girl got one for her first birthday. She was walking at 11ish months but was still a bit small for it (she’s petite but determined) but very soon learnt to climb up and out of it herself. It’s actually a great tool for teaching risk and climbing down safe etc. She did have the odd tumble initially. She loves it and goes in/out with so much confidence. Not as helpful on prep yet, just likes to eat and say more 😂
I would say no and they also recommend not for under 2
We have been using one for over two months, he loves it! Climbs up and down by himself. He loves eating meals and snacks standing on it, so we don’t use a high chair anymore. We have a booster seat for the dining chair but the tower is easier at the moment. You know your baby better than anyone, if you trust their physical skills, I would go for it. You will eventually use it anyways, so if you try it and are not comfortable, just try again in a few weeks.
@Alex oh really that’s good info to know thank you
We have one that folds down into a little table and chair and she loves it (17 months old).
@Helen the maxi cosi one is from 18+ months. Obviously we did start using ours earlier as agree with above it really depends on knowing your own baby/toddler. Most guidelines are always quite conservative understandably as want to ensure safety & get sign off etc.
I voted yes, my LO isn't ready for them as she's not standing and walking strongly enough I don't think, but if LO is then I don't see why not! 😊
