The only thing I have found to work is water play. I would put towels down and different size containers with spoons and scoops. It would give me a good 45 minutes uninterrupted and then she would want me to join in.
A big cardboard box, sit child inside & give crayons... One of the things that's kept my 20 mo busy for the longest lately 😅

Do you have a toy library in your community? Getting new toys out every week kept my daughter busier at this age … once she got used to toys, she was over them lol. As others said water play and box play were always a hit.
Also, my son has a sand & water table, he's mildly interested in it depending on the day BUT every other kid seems super fascinated by it lol
lol following, mine has a lot of toys in his play area but he gets clingy and comes over crying for me next to my desk he just wants me to be in his area while he plays
