Should I be concerned…

Finding my boy quite challenging at the moment and I don’t know if some of the behaviour he is displaying should concern me…I suppose it is a bit otherwise I wouldn’t be posting this, but would love others opinions/thoughts. He loves his numbers at the moment, loves counting everything, number 5 is his favourite so everything has to be 5, he has to have his toast cut in to 5 pieces etc. also loves the colour red. The challenging behaviour comes when things aren’t done in the right order, for example he has some little books of animals which are different colours and they have to be stacked in a certain colour order or he will have a meltdown, at this point he won’t even communicate he just grunts/growls and you just can’t get through to him, he has a cuddle and eventually calms down but is this behaviour to be concerned about? We recently had parents evening at nursery and they haven’t mentioned anything about this behaviour so it seems like he does it only at home.

Aww you should have brought it up on his parents evening. It could be something there , or could be the awkward toddler stage. Why don't you give your health visitor a call xxx

@Ruth we did mention his behaviour at home but they said they haven’t noticed any of it at nursery. It’s so hard to know if it is normal toddler behaviour or not. I think I will speak to the health visitor and get their opinion. Thanks for replying xx

Aww so difficult sometimes isn't it. Yeah I would chat with health visitor, Our children like to make us look silly don't they haha. Oliver is obsessed with the day Tuesday at the moment. Everything has to happen on a Tuesday. Of I no it's Wed tomorrow he screams nooooo it's Tuesday. 🤷‍♀️ xx
