Sister…

So I live in mid wales and my sister has come to visit.. always moans that I’m too far away.. my daughter is 6 months and I swear she doesn’t understand that my baby is discovering stuff for the first time.. she likes scratching the sofa which she does a lot, my sister made a comment and said are you sure she’s not autistic?!!! Well I shot her down straight away and said she’s discovering different textures!! Going on holiday with her in a few weeks and dreading it… how would you feel?? I could cry tbh 😢

Omg I’m exactly the same love Carmarthen my sister live in Rhondda and she’s the same constantly Moan to far away….can’t see us enough but yet I’m always making the effort….constantly commenting when my son is doing something she’s never seen him so he’s nearly 9 months old they are babies learning so much….I’m so fast to tell her to shut up….wouldn’t take her on holiday she stresses me out enough just visiting…your feelings are so valid and your a mam that’s overwhelming enough without people passing judgement x

A family member commented just last week that my son might be autistic as he was enjoying the sensory experience of a breeze in his face! He’s one and we’d just sat in a stuffy pub with a log fire so really warm… it’s a silly thing to say and like an insult or projection of fear?! I know many autistic people, several of whom are my good friends.

@Lydia it’s got to me so much , my sister doesn’t even have children. I’m just not happy at the fact she made a comment like that! She’s coming on holiday with us in a couple of weeks and now I’m going to be constantly worried she’s going to be judging! I’m just so glad I’m in mid wales and she’s in Bristol out of my way! Xx
