With my first, I packed a month worth of clothes as I stayed with family prior to giving birth (live an hour away from doctor). Then for baby: I packed a few different size clothing, bottles, binky, formula, socks, mittens, hat, diapers, blankets and Muslim blankets. That’s as far I can remember.. I’m pregnant with baby #2 due in December, I possibly will be doing the same as I refused to change doctors still. Then a few outfits for hubby. I stayed in the hospital for 3 days with my first.

I packed far too much with my first - my second packed outfits (me and baby) and toiletries, car seat. This baby I am packing breast pump, going home outfits, toiletries. We live 5 minutes away from the house so my husband can grab things if we forget ! My husband runs home to let the dogs out so he can grab a change of clothes then! I was in the hospital for the birth and then maybe half the next day!

I’ll be going home same day (birth center) if there aren’t any complications, so will pack pjs/robe & loose clothes for going home, toiletries to shower/freshen up before going home, breast pump, snacks/drinks, extra long phone charger, socks w/ grips, sandals. For baby: going home outfit w/ hat, muslin blanket, blanket for the car ride home, pacifier. In the event of a hospital transfer, I’ll have a separate bag in the car with more clothes for me & baby.
