Would you ?

Would you go to the hospital if you’re experiencing contractions that aren’t very consistent but are about 12 minutes apart while being 4cm dilated at 39w&2D. Feeling a lot of pressure in my pelvis, had a bloody show and sharp pains and pressure in buttocks & extreme back pain. I was in the hospital last night but was sent home because “I was not 5cm” and keep getting told to just take Tylenol.

12 minutes apart is still far apart, how long are the contractions lasting for? Usually they want 5-1-1 for how far apart (5min), length (1min) and for being like that for an hour. But likely if you were 4cm last night you might be 5 now. Can you do a bath for the pain?

@Charlie the contractions are lasting about 50sec -1min. I’ve tried hot baths , Tylenol , bouncing on ball , heating pad and nothing is subsiding the pain. Do you know any other ways to relieve the pain ??

The day I had my daughter, my contractions started like that and then got closer together. Keep monitoring them, it very well could be active labor starting, but I'd wait until they're a little closer together.

Massage, light tracing along your back. Breathing through the contractions, imagining being in your happy place. Instead of bouncing on the ball, try seated cat cows, figure 8s, rocking side to side, to move baby down and get the cervix to keep dilating. Tens machine can also help.

I was told to go to the hospital when my contractions are 5-7 minutes apart. I labored for 16 hours at home before going to the hospital when my contractions were 7ish minutes apart. Got there at 4 cm and they didn't send me home.

GIRL YES GO IM TELLING YOU NOW, a lot can change between now and then and I took myself to the hospital bc of this very same thing
