Development question

Should I be concerned my 13 week old little girl doesn't really reach out to grab things in front of her yet? It's like she just doesn't think to grab it. If I put something in her hand she will hold it. She smiles and is getting physically stronger but other than that what else should she be doing at this age? First time mum can you tell 🤣 I have the wonder weeks app and it says she should be reaching for things with two hands so it would be good to hear others views on whether I should be worried or not?

My little boy is 13 weeks today and he’s the same, no interest in grabbing for things yet. Babies all develop on their own timelines I think and my baby is currently much more interested in the noises he can make! I wouldn’t worry, there’s so much going on for them - it’ll all catch up at some point 😊

That is reassuring, my little girl does make sounds but bit loads! She has to be in the mood for it 🤣 X

I had that app with my first and had to delete it because I kept thinking why has she not done what’s it says and over thinking. She’s 3 now and perfectly fine!

Second what @Amy says.. I deleted it too for that reason and also I was starting to dread the weeks it was telling me were leap weeks.. I’d rather not know and go with the flow tbh and plus every baby is so different and develop skills at different stages so why should an app tell you ‘what they should be doing’ ?! Xxx

My girl doesn’t either. She can be funny about holding stuff but she will reach out and knock the hanging toys when on her play gym so I’m not too worried. All babies are different!

I find with wonder weeks, sometimes she is doing things that she should be doing later but not now, I take it with a pinch of salt (she's a month premature but used her due date) for example she still hasn't found her feet or grabbing things and is actually 16 weeks (11 weeks corrected). I use it mainly to see what to expect soon rather than beating myself up if she hadn't achieved any thing x
