Naps

I have a 11 month old and second baby is due in Feb. I tried CIO for naps, worked for 2 days then she was crying too much so went back to rocking her. Today I tried to be by her side (patting and rubbing back) but she is standing up in her cot, throwing everything out and messes around a lot, looks like she will not fall asleep. This lasted 1 hour so I went back to rocking her. What's your advice should I persist with CIO or what do I do. I'm worried how I will be putting both babies down for naps andnits really stressing me out. For nights she is CIO sleep trained and falls asleep wonderfully on her own. Does wake up during the night occasionally which I go and comfort her. What do I do😭

Try the ferber method, for naps i started on day 3 so 10 minutes 12 minutes then 15 minutes. It worked well but my son was sleep trained at night with the ferber method to

@Victoria thank you, I will probably try ferber again then. As my baby was crying so much I just stopped, but I've done CIO so that shouldn't be that hard 🥲🥲

Yea if you can handle CIO then the ferber method will be easier. Tips from experience, if it isnt working try putting them on their side (my son sleeps instantly on his side but will cey for hours on his back even though he can roll over I have to put him on his side sometimes), try putting your shirt (worn recently) on a pillow and put it near them(unsafe sleep but naps are normally supervised so as long as you watch them its ok), try teething medicine before bc that messes up naps, try a cold paci (teething), try laying them down with a bottle if bottle fed. Also absolutely have to make sure you lay them down about when they start rubbing their eyes (or before for some babies). All my cousins and my own son will cry for hours if you put them down too early or too late

So can sleep training be applied to naps? And if so is it better to do some nights first before applying it to naps?
