Hearing question again
(obv will ask pediatrician) but if baby passes hearing test can they still be deaf? Just wondering because my premie passed the hearing test in the hospital and I have noticed he startles at some noises but didn’t flinch at all to the vacuum or loud truck. I tried to take my daughter’s toy kitchen pot and hit it and he didn’t flinch just blinked his eyes. Thoughts ? Worried mama over here

Vacuum sounds a lot like being in the womb so maybe that's why he didn't react to the vacuum.

Newborns do not react to loud sounds early on. My lo didn’t blink an eye at my dog barking at first but now it will wake him if he is just starting to fall ast
