Dentist…..

Now I know you shouldn’t compare yourself to other parents and I’m not really, however I know a lady that has a baby who has only just turned 6 months she’s getting her bottom two teeth and she’s already taken her baby to the dentist where I’ve not even thought about the dentist and my baby is almost 11 months. Has anyone else taken their baby for the dentist yet?

I honestly wouldn’t worry my little girl is 10 months and has 8 teeth. My dentist said to take her my next appointment after she is one. So she will be 14 months when we go x

first time even hearing about it 😱 my girl has 8 teeth and she is 10,5 months. why would you even take baby to dentist?🤔

He’s been with me when I had my checkup a couple of months ago, and the dentist was keen to do a check up on him too, even though he only had 2 bottom teeth at the time. My first was about a year old when he first came, but he refused to open his mouth and it’s only now at 3yo that he’s willing to get in the chair and let anyone have a look. It’s all really good exposure for them, but it’s not necessary. Whenever you book yours, just book your little one in too.

Oh yes I got told by my dentist to book him in as soon as you see teeth. It’s more to get him used to visiting the dentist. I wouldn’t worry though. There is not likely to be problems at 11 months.

Yeah I took my lo to the dentist but only cos I needed the check up. The dentist was really sweet and turned her glove into a balloon for him. As others mentioned it's just to make it less scary in future. She barely even looked in his mouth

It is good to book an appointment so the dentist can check their teeth and give some advice on oral hygiene but as long as you book now doesn’t matter you didn’t earlier ☺️

Asked my dentist at my own check up and she recommended starting them around 18 months xx

I got my baby signed up at my last appointment and had his first appointment today (a joint appointment with me) and then she has booked to see him in 6 months and me and him in a years time. She said they like to see children more often cause things are changing more in their mouth but I wouldn’t worry I’d just give them a call. They only really went through a few questions and gave some advice and had a Quick Look in his mouth x

I took my baby with me when I went for my check up a few months ago, he had his first 2 teeth at the time. The dentist said he didn’t want to see him for his first check up until he was 2 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have but only because I took him along to my appointment and my dentist offered to register him there and then and do a checkup. He had then been tagged onto my next appointment 6 months later

I’ve been taking my little girl to my apps dentist advised it’s good to get them used to it, it’s not a proper appointment tho. She’s 10 months still with no teeth
