Can take a while or very quickly. I went from 4 cm to 10cm in an hour apparently. But it can also take a long time. We thought we were in for a long haul but yeah. So it just depends really.

I lost my mucus plug a week a bit later I gave birth with labour like pains throughout the week. Everyone is different. X

@Darryl wow, happy for you. How long can it take please?

@Valentina Mcillmurray do you mean you gave birth that same week you lost muscus plug?

No roughly 10 days later. X

@Valentina Mcillmurray wow, that's late. How many weeks were you?

I had my bloody show in the birthing pool at hospital, in full blown labour for 2 hours already! Had the baby about 1.5 hours later x

i lost my mucus plug at midday as and was in labour that night

Lost my mucus plug, waters broke and regular contractions started all within an hour!

@Hannah Oh wow, that's good. How many hours later did you give birth?

@Natalie how many cm were you before losing bloody show?

I was preterm, 34 weeks 4 days. I think they were hoping he would stay in. I was in and out the hospital as I didn't feel right and was tested positive for preterm labour, they kept assuring me that it could mean nothing but obviously he wanted out.

I'm just anxious to meet my little one. I've been having contractions and I rang the MLU, I was told to call when contractions is regular for 3 mins

@Valentina Mcillmurray oh okay

@Jade wow, that's a good one

Went in in the morning about 10am was the gush, early Labour signs were probably about 1 to 2 pm. Think I got to 4cm dilated at 10pm. The next thing I know I'm 10cms dilated and need to push as my baby is in distress. She was born at 00.56 the next morning. But I don't remember much as it was a traumatic birth, I'm afraid. But yeah I went from 4cm to 10cm within an hour so yeah. I think I lost my show at 4cm but I can't really remember.
